Who we are

This website is run by Heartland Dunes Luxury Camps, a desert camp at Sam Dunes, Kanoi, near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Heartland Dunes.

What details we collect

We only collect what we need to answer you and to look after your stay:

• Contact details: your name, phone or WhatsApp number and email address.
• Stay details: your dates, number of adults, children and tents, your nationality and any message or special request you send us.
• Payment details: the amount, date and status of your payment and the reference from our payment partner. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank login.
• Technical details: your IP address, which we keep to stop spam and misuse of our forms.
• At the camp: a copy of a valid photo ID for every guest, as required by Indian law. Guests from other countries must also show their passport and visa.

How we use your details

• To reply to your enquiry and send you prices.
• To hold tents for you, take your payment and confirm your booking.
• To contact you about your stay, for example with directions or changes.
• To meet legal duties, such as guest registration and tax records.
• To keep our website safe and stop fraud.

If you start an online booking but do not finish paying, we keep the details you entered so our team can call you and help you complete it. If you do not want us to contact you, just tell us.

We do not sell your details. We only send you offers if you sign up for them, and you can stop them at any time.

Online payments

Online payments are handled by Razorpay, a payment company regulated in India. When you pay, you enter your card, UPI or bank details on Razorpay's secure checkout, not on our website. Razorpay uses your details only to process the payment, under its own privacy policy.

Who we share details with

We share your details only when we need to:

• Razorpay, to take and refund payments.
• Our email and hosting providers, who store our data for us.
• Government authorities, when the law requires it (for example, guest registration for foreign nationals).

Cookies

Our public website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may record your IP address. Our admin area uses one cookie to keep our staff signed in. Razorpay may set its own cookies during payment to prevent fraud.

How long we keep details

We keep booking and payment records for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require (usually 8 years). Enquiries that did not become a booking are kept for up to 2 years, then deleted.

How we keep details safe

Our website uses secure connections (HTTPS). Only our team can see guest details, through a password-protected admin area. Payment details are handled by Razorpay and never stored on our servers.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, or to delete them (unless the law says we must keep them). You can also ask us to stop contacting you. Write to info@heartlanddunes.com and we will reply within 30 days.

Children

Our website is meant for adults planning a trip. We collect details about children (such as their number) only when a parent or guardian books for them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
