About us

Heartland Dunes Luxury Camps runs a desert camp with 12 Swiss tents at Sam Dunes, Kanoi, near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. This website lets you send enquiries and book tents online.

Making a booking

• You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking.
• The details you give us (name, phone, dates and number of guests) must be correct. The person who books is responsible for everyone in the booking.
• When you press Pay & Book, we hold your tents for a short time while you pay. If the payment is not completed in time, the tents are released.
• Your booking is confirmed only after your payment is received. You will see a confirmation with your booking reference on screen, and we will also send it by email or WhatsApp.
• Booking by enquiry, phone or WhatsApp is confirmed only when we confirm it to you in writing.

Prices and payment

• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). The price shown before you pay is the price you pay, including any taxes shown.
• Prices can change for weekends, festivals and peak season. The price you see when you book is the price we honour.
• If we ask for an advance, the rest of the amount is paid at the camp at check-in.
• Online payments are processed securely by Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking and wallets).
• If there is an obvious mistake in a price, we will tell you before your stay and you can choose to pay the right price or cancel for a full refund.

How you receive your booking

Your booking is a service, not a physical product, so nothing is shipped to you. Once your payment is successful, your booking is confirmed straight away. You will see the confirmation on screen with your booking reference, and we send the details by email (if you gave one) and may contact you on WhatsApp or by phone. Please show your booking reference at check-in.

Changes and cancellations

Our Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how to change or cancel a booking and how refunds work. It is part of these terms.

Check-in and guest ID

• Check-in and check-out times are shared in your booking confirmation. Please tell us if you will arrive late.
• Every guest must show a valid government photo ID at check-in, as required by Indian law (for example, Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID).
• Guests from other countries must show their passport and a valid Indian visa. We must register foreign guests with the authorities.
• We may refuse check-in if valid ID is not shown. In that case, no refund is due.

Camp rules

• Our kitchen serves pure vegetarian (Sattvik) food. Please do not bring non-vegetarian food into the camp.
• Please respect other guests, our staff and the local culture. Keep noise low late at night.
• Children must be looked after by an adult at all times, especially on the dunes and near camels.
• Please take care of the tent and its fittings. We may charge for damage beyond normal use.
• We may ask anyone who behaves in an unsafe, illegal or abusive way to leave, without a refund.

Desert activities and safety

Camel rides, desert safaris and other outdoor activities carry some natural risk. Please follow the instructions of our team and guides, and tell us about any health conditions before you take part. Activities may be changed or stopped for safety, weather or government orders.

Please take care of your own valuables. We are not responsible for loss of personal belongings unless it was caused by our negligence.

Changes by us

Very rarely, we may need to change or cancel a booking because of events outside our control, such as extreme weather, natural events, government orders or safety concerns. If this happens, we will offer you new dates or a full refund of the amount you paid.

Our responsibility

We take great care to give you a safe and comfortable stay. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Indian consumer law.

Using this website

Please use this website only to plan and book a stay. Do not try to misuse our forms, booking system or payments. The photos and text on this website belong to Heartland Dunes and may not be copied without our permission. Photos show the camp and its experiences; small details may differ.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute cannot be settled by talking to us first, the courts of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan will have jurisdiction.
